An exhibition in October 2015 at Beans & Barley based around this vibrant Turkish quarter of Harringay, N8. It is common to see fig, grape and olive trees growing in this area planted by Cypriot immigrants in the 1960s.
The outline of these plants has been stitched in to the images of the shops. The area was badly affected by the 2011 Tottenham riots, but following inward investment from Harringay council, is currently enjoying a gentrification with trendy bars, shops and restaurants opening up.
Close up images of this piece were sold to coincide with the exhibition in the form of Christmas cards.
